The Jackson-Butts County Council for the Arts began purchasing pieces for the Permanent Collection in 1999. The collection was intended to be a celebration of the Artists that come to our festival. We hope it is also a teaching tool for the community; by showing some of the diverse media artists use, and how they use it to tell their story. Each piece was purchased from an artist exhibiting in our annual Fine Arts Festival, with funds donated to the Council.
The Collection currently being exhibited in the County Administration Building, and in City Hall in Jackson, GA.
This special grouping was made possible by a generous donation from the Hicks Family.
